Although we started in the UK, the micro:bit is now available in class rooms across the world. As new research from different sources becomes available it will be published on this page.

UK Research Findings

The BBC commissioned an impact study after giving away up to one million BBC micro:bits for free to:

  • Every year 7 student in England and Wales
  • Every year 8 student in Northern Ireland
  • Every S1 student in Scotland.
The impact study found that... [BBC]:

  • 90%-a a tanulóknak mondta, hogy a micro:bit megmutatta nekik, hogy bárki tud kódolni.
  • 86%-a a tanulóknak mondta, hogy a micro:bit az informatika tudományt érdekesebbé tette.
  • 70%-al több lány mondta, hogy szívesen választanák az informatikát mint iskolai tantárgyat miután használták a micro:bit-ot.
  • 85%-a Tanároknak egyetértett, hogy érdekesebbé tette az ICT/Informatikai órákat a tanulóknak.
  • A tanárok fele akik micro:bit-ot használtak azt mondják, hogy most már magabiztosabban érzik magukat tanárként, különösen azok akik azt mondták, hogy nem elég magabiztosak az informatika oktatásban.
